Our vision
“Community isn't just part of our name, it's part of our DNA.”
Using the success of Kansas City as a blueprint, VCP has adopted a vision to fix Veteran homelessness across the nation, beginning in St. Louis, Missouri.
On September 9, 2021, VCP broke ground on the St. Louis Village, a nearly 4-acre property located on Aldine Avenue between Spring Avenue and N. Grand Avenue.
Purchased largely from the city's land bank (LRA), the Veterans Community Project of St. Louis campus includes a village of 50 tiny homes, a Village Community Center, and a VCP Outreach Center.
This campus provides critical resources to St. Louis metro-area Veterans by:
Beautifying a once blighted area, increasing property values of surrounding homes and businesses
Provide ongoing opportunities for community volunteerism
Strengthen St. Louis' social services sector
Become a source of civic pride
Join the mission.
Community isn't just part of our name; it's part of our DNA. Veterans Community Project is funded by individuals, foundations, and corporations who want to do more than thank a Veteran for their service.
Thousands of community volunteers are helping to build VCP Village and thousands more will help us serve Veterans through the VCP Outreach Center for years to come.
VCP is truly a Community Project for St. Louis.
Now is your opportunity to permanently leave your mark on this life-changing, community-changing mission. Join us in this compelling vision and help serve those who served us.
